Bob Hayes

Cinematographer Bob Hayes is the grandson of character actor William Forrest. Born in Los Angeles he started sneaking onto sets at an early age. Bob started shooting films while still in elementary school and was immediately hooked. “I always wanted to be a Cinematographer. Why? We always get the best seats”. And Bob has. He’s filmed the live birth of a killer whale, stood on the top of Iwo Jima’s Mount Suribachi, filmed several American Presidents, and of course gotten to work with Director Jesse Johnson on several films including the “Butcher”.

“Jesse is great to collaborate with because he brings a modern vision to his films but still has an old school sensibility to character and drama” Bob says.

Bob and Jesse have also collaborated on “Pit Fighter”, “The Last Sentinel”, and “The Fifth Commandment” a high action thriller coming to theaters in 2008. Bob also photographed over twenty feature films including “Grand Theft Parsons” starring Johnny Knoxville. In addition to features Bob has shot many television movies and dramatic television series.
